Ronda’s Story
If you’re considering therapy, I want you to know that I understand how important it is to work with someone you can trust. I’ve been in your shoes, and I appreciate how vulnerable it can feel to begin the process of seeking help.
Several years ago, I reached a point where I was struggling so significantly that I lost my ability to work and maintain my livelihood. After years of symptoms that had gone unrecognized, I was finally diagnosed with PTSD that had developed into severe and complex PTSD. Once I received the right diagnosis and entered treatment, I was able to process the trauma and begin healing. Within a few months, I was functioning again at a level that allowed me to rebuild my life.
That experience changed the course of my life. It also gave me a deep understanding of what it feels like to live with trauma and the uncertainty that comes with wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.
Because of this, I approach therapy with both professional training and personal insight into the healing process. Using a person-centered approach, I work collaboratively with clients to identify the most effective tools and strategies to support recovery, growth, and meaningful change.

Professional Experience
Ronda brings direct clinical experience working with individuals across a variety of settings, including outpatient community care, integrative health environments, school-based services, and private practice.
She works with adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including:
- PTSD and Complex PTSD
- Depression and Anxiety
- Adjustment Disorders
- Chronic stress and life transitions
Ronda specializes in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, including childhood trauma, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. She also works with clients navigating relationship challenges, career concerns, chronic illness, self-esteem issues, and questions around identity and personal growth.
Training and Education
Ronda’s early career focused on human behavior and workplace dynamics. After earning her Master’s Degree in Human Resources in 2001, she worked in HR roles within large organizations, specializing in employee relations, leadership support, and organizational development. In this work, she often served as a bridge between employees and leadership, helping navigate complex interpersonal and workplace challenges.
Following her personal experience with PTSD, she felt called to deepen my ability to support others facing mental health and trauma-related challenges. She returned to graduate school and earned a Master’s Degree in Education in Counseling and Development, along with specialized training and certifications in trauma-focused approaches.
Ronda also holds a Master’s Degree in Film and Media Production, which reflects another core part of who she is—a storyteller. Throughout history, storytelling has been one of the ways humans make sense of their experiences, process difficult emotions, and find meaning in their lives. In many ways, therapy is a space where people begin to understand their own stories differently—untangling what has happened to them and discovering how they want to move forward.
Ronda’s background in storytelling informs the way she approaches therapy. It allows her to listen deeply, recognize patterns in people’s experiences, and support clients in reframing and reclaiming their own narratives in ways that promote healing, growth, and self-understanding.
